Loly arrived here yesterday. She was driven down from LAX by her granddaughter Michelle and her friend Michael. Today we went and picked up our car. Horrors! It was a Prius. The man at the rental was trying to teach us the mumbo-jumbo required to stop and start the car. At the same time, he was teaching us how to operate the GPS system. Finally we just gave up, drove away and trusted ourselves to God. Then when we got the GPS to speak English, we couldn't hear it because we had the windows open because we couldn't find the air conditioning. We finally got our act together and found our way back to my son's house. Tomorrow it's off to Long Beach and an overnight stay on the Queen Mary. Keep your fingers crossed.
