Today we drove along the Silverado Trail and stopped for wine tasting and landscape appreciation at 2 wineries. Our first stop was at Clos Du Val where we were most fortunate to meet their Hospitality and Wine Education Associate, Fred Morris. Fred was a great guide through 5 samples of their wine -a Cabernet Sauvignon,Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Chablis. He was most accomodating and even let us into where the wine is aged(Really Chilly!) and he was kind enough to take our photo. I also took a photo of Fred with Loly.
Our second stop was at Stag's LeapWine Cellars. We bought wine at both stops. We figured 2 stops were enough. It was a hot day and we didn't want to drive tipsy.
Tomorrow it's a short drive to San Francisco.
