We left Sonora this morning. We had to take a detour because the road in front of our motel was closed to traffic due to the "Mother Lode Parade". Our GPS system kept re doing our route but everything came out alright. We passed through a town called Angel's Camp. What a hoot! On the wires stretched out over the main street they had thrown underwear as if it was a clothes line. They even had an old fashioned ladies corset. The scenery wherever we have passed has been spectacular. The roads are like winding roller coasters but fun to drive. There must have been at least a hundred bikers on the road with their big shiny bikes.
Our motel in Grass Valley is the Best Western Gold Country Inn. It is gorgeous. Quite a step up from the motel in Sonora. I will try to put in a photo of the Sonora Motel. We had to call the clerk at 9PM cause we couldn't turn the shower on but at least they had free wi-fi. Tomorrow it's off to Lake Tahoe for a 2day stay.
